Mobile Money is the dominant payment channel across sub-Saharan Africa, used by millions of parents to pay school fees without a bank account or credit card. RedeemOS integrates with the major Mobile Money networks, MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money, M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and Orange Money, enabling schools across West, East, and Southern Africa to accept fee payments digitally without requiring a physical payment terminal. When a parent makes a Mobile Money payment to the school's configured Mobile Money number, the payment is automatically reconciled against the student's fee account in RedeemOS and a digital receipt is generated. Finance officers no longer need to manually cross-reference Mobile Money agent reports against individual student accounts, the reconciliation is instant and automatic.

Paystack is a Nigerian-founded payments company serving businesses across Africa. It lets schools accept cards, bank transfers, and mobile money. When a parent pays through RedeemOS, Paystack processes the transaction and RedeemOS posts it to the correct student fee account. This reduces manual reconciliation for the finance team. Paystack is the preferred payment integration for RedeemOS schools in Nigeria and Ghana, and is available across more than 12 African countries.

Online payment integration enables schools to accept school fees, application fees, and other charges over the internet using cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets, eliminating the need for parents to visit the school office or queue at a bank branch. For schools still relying on physical cash collection or in-person bank deposits, online payments represent a transformative shift in operational efficiency: cash handling overheads are reduced, finance officer time is freed from manual reconciliation, and parents experience a more convenient, professional payment process. RedeemOS integrates with multiple online payment gateways to ensure schools can accept payments via the most relevant channels for their parent community, whether they are paying by card in Accra, bank transfer in Lagos, or mobile wallet in Nairobi.

SMS notifications provide the most reliable channel for school-to-parent communication in sub-Saharan Africa, reaching parents regardless of whether they have a smartphone, internet access, or data balance. While push notifications and email are increasingly common, SMS remains the only universal channel, a message sent via SMS will be delivered to any mobile phone, on any network, in any location with a signal. RedeemOS integrates with leading African bulk SMS providers, including Hubtel, Arkesel, Africa's Talking, and Termii, to send automated and manual SMS notifications for attendance alerts, fee reminders, examination results, general announcements, and any other school communication. Each SMS is triggered by a specific event in the RedeemOS platform and delivered within seconds.

Email notifications provide schools with a rich, document-capable communication channel for parents and staff who have email addresses. Unlike SMS, email supports attachments, allowing schools to deliver PDF report cards, detailed examination result summaries, fee statements with line-item breakdowns, and formatted newsletters in a single message. RedeemOS integrates with email delivery services to send transactional emails (triggered by specific events) and bulk email campaigns (scheduled announcements). Emails sent through RedeemOS carry the school's name and branding, and recipients can download attached documents directly from their inbox without logging into the Parent Portal.

Biometric attendance integration uses fingerprint or facial recognition readers to automatically capture student and staff attendance without requiring manual roll call. When a student places their finger on the biometric reader at the school gate or classroom entrance, their identity is verified against the enrolled fingerprint template, and their attendance record is created in RedeemOS automatically. This eliminates the time taken for manual roll call in large schools, prevents proxy attendance (a student answering "present" for an absent classmate), and provides accurate, real-time attendance data without teacher intervention. RedeemOS integrates with standard USB and network-connected fingerprint readers, making biometric attendance practical for schools that want to deploy automated attendance capture.

QR code attendance integration allows students and staff to check in using a QR-code-printed ID card or wristband, scanned by a smartphone camera or a dedicated QR reader at the classroom door or school gate. Each student's unique QR code is generated by RedeemOS and printed on their school ID card. When scanned, the QR code transmits the student's identity to RedeemOS and creates an attendance record in real time. QR attendance is faster to set up than biometric systems (no biometric enrolment required), works reliably for all age groups including young children, and costs significantly less per installation. It is the preferred contactless attendance method for primary and junior high schools transitioning from manual roll call.
