School ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
Definition
A School ERP is an integrated software suite that unifies all administrative and operational functions of a school, including finance, HR, payroll, inventory, and academic management, into a single connected platform.
Full Explanation
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems were originally designed to connect corporate departments such as finance, HR, and supply chain. A School ERP applies that idea to education. It connects student records, fees, payroll, HR, library, hostel, transport, and academics, so staff do not have to re-enter the same information in separate systems. Unlike a standalone Student Information System, a School ERP also covers staff management, procurement, and financial reporting. For example, enrolling a student can create the fee invoice automatically, while adding a teacher can create the payroll profile. RedeemOS is designed as a School ERP for African institutions.
