The "Expected Challenges" field is often left blank, but it is the most valuable professional development field in the plan. Identifying likely misconceptions in advance prepares the teacher to address them rather than being caught off guard.
Lesson plans should be realistic about what can be achieved in the available time. Overly ambitious plans result in teachers rushing or skipping assessments — undermining the whole purpose of the plan.
